Drainage System Design and Installation

We offer many drainage system design and installation options, including:

• Footing Drains: This type of water drainage system involves installing water pipes around the foundation perimeter that are level with the footing. The piping captures any water that could leak through the top of the footing into your basement, and drains the water away from the foundation walls. We generally use perforated, 4-inch plastic PVC piping or flexible ABS pipes for this application.
• Trench Drains: These extended drainage systems are placed just below the ground and collect surface water, moving the water away from your home via a drainage channel, which is covered by a grate. Residential trench drains, also called channel drains, usually maintain a regular depth along its entire length, and are designed to transfer excess water through a long, narrow trench to another location.
• Gutter & Downspout Systems: Gutters & downspouts serve to protect your home from water damage by redirecting rainwater away from the home's foundation. Downspouts connect to drainage pipes that carry the water away from the home, helping to prevent water in your basement. We install the necessary underground piping and restore your property to is original state.

French Drains

A French drain is a trench filled with a perforated pipe and gravel (usually 4-inch plastic PVC piping or flexible ABS piping) that drains water naturally from your property. French drains help to prevent pooling and flooding in your yard, and assist in alleviating drainage problems that can cause water damage to your home. There are many advantages to installing a French drain, including:

• French drains are very affordable and cost effective
• French drains are long-lasting and are normally effective for decades
• French drains are aesthetically pleasing and enhance the visual appeal of your home & yard
• French drains reduce the risk of long-term water damage, thus increasing your propery value

Catch Basins

Catch basins are designed to collect excess surface water that accumulates in low areas. This drainage system generally consists of a grate and connected piping that pulls water away from the affected wet area.

Because catch basin drain grates are usually round or square, they cover a smaller surface area than long, linear trench drains. Catch basins are still very effective for many water problems, and are an excellent drainage solution for landscaping systems.
